MARTYR IN WESTERN AMERICA
In a culture obsessed with comfort, validation, and self-promotion…
the real call of Christ still sounds the same:
“If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23
We don’t hear much about dying anymore.
We hear about building platforms.
We hear about chasing influence.
We hear about protecting feelings.
But Jesus said die daily.
The martyr isn’t just someone who dies once.
A true disciple dies every day:
• Dies to ego
• Dies to pride
• Dies to needing applause
• Dies to self-will
• Dies to comfort
In Western America, we want resurrection power…
without crucifixion.
But there is no crown without thorns.
No glory without sacrifice.
No mission without surrender.
The cross is not decoration.
It’s an execution.
And when we truly die to ourselves,
that’s when the mission moves forward.
Sacrifice fuels the mission.
Death produces life.
The seed must fall to the ground and die.
Are we building brands?
Or are we carrying crosses?
